Join Bitso as a Legal Associate and play a crucial role in supporting the legal department's efforts to ensure legal and regulatory compliance within the fintech industry. You will provide legal guidance, work closely with the Legal Manager for Argentina and other teams, and contribute to Bitso's growth. The role requires 2-4 years of experience from a top-tier Argentinian law school and expertise in corporate law, financial regulation, and technology. Requirements
- Between 2 β 4 years graduated from top tier law school in Argentina
- Eager to learn and acquire new skills
- Interest in corporate law, financial regulation, labour, marketing law and technology
- Great communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to communicate legal concepts to members outside the legal team
- Good and reliable team player
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Ability to work cross functions with other teams within Bitso
- Very organized, punctual and committed with deadlines
- Ability to draft and negotiate agreements
- Ability to draft policies and internal documentation
- Adaptability and experience working under high demand
- Communicative and pro-active
- Ability to work independently
Responsibilities
- Draft and review a wide range of contracts
- Assist with corporate governance matters such as drafting board minutes and resolutions, and ensuring filings are up to date with the relevant authorities
- Assist in completing due diligence requests from our partners, vendors and service providers
- Draft answers to authority requests
- Assist with labor law matters
- Assist with consumer law issues
- Assist in conducting research on various legal issues, such as regulatory requirements and more
- Stay up-to-date with evolving regulations and guidelines related to crypto assets, blockchain technology and financial services
- Assist in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures to ensure the company's operations align with relevant laws and regulations
- Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory filings and reports as required by relevant authorities
