Summary

Join PosiGen's dynamic legal team as a remote Legal Case Specialist (UT & LA only). Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and documentation
  • Skilled in using legal research databases and case management software
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present effectively to diverse internal and external audiences
  • Proven ability to evaluate regulatory and compliance risks, as well as develop and implement policies across a business
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to translate qualitative information into actionable quantitative data
  • Familiarity with and willingness to travel to PosiGen markets (Connecticut, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Rhode Island) as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, communicate, and motivate teams toward a strategic vision while maintaining strong operational focus

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship or restrictions

  • Minimum of three (3) years in litigation roles, with prior experience in employment and litigation strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all stages of litigation cases, from initiation to resolution
  • Research customer accounts to provide accurate responses in pending litigation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address high-risk customer escalations
  • Assist the Employee Relations team with investigations as needed
  • Manage responses to regulatory agencies, including the Department of Consumer Protection, Attorney General, and opposing counsel
  • Handle subrogation claims, ensuring efficient resolution
  • Draft responses to attorney demand letters and negotiate resolutions with opposing counsel
  • Maintain organized litigation files, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests
  • Collect and prepare information for discovery requests, maintaining and sharing files with outside counsel
  • Liaise with outside counsel on all pending litigation matters
  • Administer litigation holds and preservation notices
  • Manage registered agent services for accepting legal documents
  • Coordinate mail distribution with the New Orleans office
  • Preserve and organize comprehensive case files for accessibility
  • Support attorneys in preparing witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trials
  • Generate reports on litigation trends and recommend strategies to mitigate legal risks
  • Interface effectively with business units, witnesses, outside counsel, and opposing counsel to gather information and provide updates
  • Monitor and manage court deadlines and response timelines
  • Submit data requests to IT for litigation matters
  • Respond to subpoenas and prepare necessary productions
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior involvement in the residential solar industry is preferred
  • Familiarity with residential solar industry practices and regulations is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and legislation, particularly related to residential solar
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean Enterprise methodologies
