Legal Content Manager

Summary

Join BigID, a leading data security and privacy tech startup, as their Legal Content Manager. Reporting to the Chief Privacy Officer, you will oversee legal and regulatory content within our products and compliance frameworks, supporting the Product Management team in building and enhancing privacy offerings. This fully remote, full-time contract position requires a strong understanding of technology products and global privacy laws. You will develop, implement, and maintain product content, support various teams as a subject matter expert, and manage contractors. Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) or foreign equivalent such as LL.M preferred
• At least one IAPP certification (CIPP, CIPM, CIPT)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data privacy
• Strong understanding of global privacy laws and regulations
• Strong legal research skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex privacy concepts to different audiences

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the product content, including: Policies / Laws / Regulations
• Security and Privacy Frameworks
• Templates for assessments
• Rights mapping and templates for Privacy Portal across new regulations
• Consent and preference rights, and cookie notice content
• Privacy Notice Management
• Breach laws for Incident Response
• Periodic legal and regulatory updates for customers
• Support Product Management in the development of new privacy products and features
• Support sales, marketing and alliance efforts as a subject matter expert
• Manage contractors and/or staff to achieve program and company objectives

Preferred Qualifications

• A technical background and/or working knowledge of technical concepts, such as databases, data discovery, and software development, are highly desirable
• Experience working with software technology organizations preferred
