Summary
Join Tether, a leader in digital finance, and become our Legal Operations Assistant, supporting expansion strategies. Reporting to the COO and collaborating with the Head of Expansion, you will manage legal documents, schedule meetings, handle billing and invoicing, coordinate with external partners, conduct legal research, and draft legal documents. Success requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in legal procedures. This role offers the chance to contribute to a globally innovative platform within a fast-growing, lean team.
Requirements
- LLM in Law and Economics, or related fields with knowledge / specialization on blockchain and cryptocurrency
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Georgian
- Proficient in Google Suite
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Responsibilities
- Manage and organize legal documents and files, ensuring they are properly filed and accessible
- Arrange meetings and conferences, both in-person and virtual, with clients, attorneys, and other legal professionals
- Assist in preparing billing and invoicing statements, tracking expenses and payments, and ensuring that billing guidelines are followed
- Coordinate with external partners such as outside counsel, vendors, and government agencies
- Conduct legal research to support attorneys and legal teams in preparing for cases
- Assist in drafting legal documents such as investment agreements, MoU, contracts, and other diverse sets of agreements
- Maintain legal databases and ensure they are up-to-date and accurate
- Provide administrative support to legal teams, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and taking minutes of meetings
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and regulations, including those related to data privacy and security
- Help manage the technology used in the legal department, including legal software applications and hardware
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or Legal Operations Assistant
- Familiarity with legal operations and project management methodologies
