Summary

Join our team as a Logistics Manager at Resident, where you'll oversee product flow and orders through our supply chain, minimizing delays and maintaining optimal in-stock levels. As a dynamic and proactive individual, you'll lead cross-functional projects, develop tools for supply chain performance monitoring, and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance and mitigate risks.

  • Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management, particularly in managing inbound container flows
  • 2+ years working in analytical roles with advanced spreadsheet skills and SQL/GPQ experience
  • Demonstrate a proficient understanding of order flow and EDI/API transactions for the entire purchase order lifecycle, from the 846 to the 810, across various systems and platforms
  • Possess a basic understanding of different modes of transportation, including parcel, white glove, LTL and TL

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional projects: Drive key initiatives from inception to completion, using independent judgment to prioritize and allocate resources
  • Strategic supply chain optimization: Develop and implement tools to monitor supply chain performance. Independently assess risks (e.g., aging inventory, shipment delays) and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance, mitigate risks, and protect financial outcomes
  • Data-driven insights: Leverage data to generate actionable insights, using discretion to influence strategic alignment with both internal teams and external partners, ensuring organizational goals are met
  • Manage fulfillment and logistics: Identify and mitigate potential shipment delays. Use your decision-making skills to reallocate resources or adjust processes as needed to ensure on-time order fulfillment, with significant financial and operational impacts
  • Financial analysis and business case development: Conduct independent financial analysis (e.g., ROI evaluations) for investments and process improvements. Your ability to build strong business cases will directly influence company strategy and budget allocations
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Exercise discretion in managing cross-site communications and aligning stakeholders, ensuring that decisions regarding timelines, priorities, and deliverables are made autonomously for the benefit of the company’s strategic goals
  • Compliance and reporting: Establish reporting mechanisms and take data-driven actions independently to address non-compliance. Your decisions in these areas will be crucial to maintaining customer satisfaction and preventing costly operational disruptions
