Requirements
- You have 10+ years working with 3PLs and logistics
- Have relevant certifications like CITT, CTCS, etc
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets to identify trends and anomalies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence decision making
- Experience developing and presenting reports
- Comfortable using Netsuite or a similar ERP
Responsibilities
- Oversee the warehouse, including inventory control, quality assurance, space management, and shipping
- Monitor, analyze and report daily/weekly warehouse performance through effective KPI tracking and data collection for all warehouses
- Reconcile inventory between our system and the warehouse weekly & oversee the execution of their cycle count program to mitigate inventory variances
- Manage the returns process
- Work with the warehouse to address any concerns they may have that will impact their performance and increase touch points
- Coordinate VAS projects and other special scenarios like new product launch, physical inventory to ensure the warehouse is ready for processing
- Review monthly invoices and identifies areas of improvement with the warehouse staff in order to reduce costs
- Oversee the inbound & outbound shipping processes including customs compliance
- Oversee the inbound and outbound teams' activities, including customs compliance, shipping, and receiving, to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate fulfillment of orders
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, carriers, and other key stakeholders to secure reliable and cost-effective transportation options
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and manage risks in freight operations (e.g., SOLAS, CTPAT) across all touchpoints
- Monitor and manage the freight division budget, ensuring cost control while meeting profit and loss targets
- Review industry programs like FLOW to determine benefits of participation and lead the enrollment process
- Continuously assess and improve operational productivity within both inbound and outbound teams
- Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics, adjusting strategies as necessary to maintain a competitive edge
- Develop and implement compliance strategies for both inbound and outbound logistics to adhere to all relevant import and export regulations. Ex. Denied Party Screening, forced labour in supply chains, tariff changes
- Maintain the business risk assessments up to date by identifying gaps in the trade compliance programs. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with customs regulations, addressing discrepancies across both inbound and outbound logistics operations. Ex. CARM setup, bond requirements, etc
- Identify and assess potential risks related to customs compliance, implementing proactive measures to mitigate these risks
