Summary
The job is for a Senior Sales Engineering position at PDI Technologies. The role involves collaborating with the sales team to perform pre-demo discovery and deliver software presentations/demonstrations. The employee will also provide support for software and industry-related questions, document any software gaps found during demonstrations, partner with product management to assist in driving functionality needed in solutions, answer RFPs and RFIs, and travel when needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of logistics experience, including Transportation and/or short truck oil and gas
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative in nature with a strong desire to learn independently
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales team to perform pre-demo discovery with prospect/current customers on software and process needs
- Prepare and deliver software presentations/demonstrations explaining the benefits of PDI products/services to customers and prospective customers
- Provide sales support for software and industry related questions that arise in the sales cycle
- Document any software gaps found during the demonstration process
- Partner with product management to assist in driving functionality needed in our solutions, based on industry and customer feedback
- Answer requests for proposal (RFP) and requests for information (RFI)
Preferred Qualifications
- Petroleum Marketing, C-Store and/or logistics experience is a plus
- Knowledge of business accounting is a plus
