Mainframe Business Systems Analyst in Canada

Summary

The job is for a temporary contractor position in Nova Scotia (remote) as a senior level business analyst with expertise in various areas including data encryption, IMS, Db2, VSAM, ICSF, Key management, SAS, MXG, PCOMM, VTAM, TPX,MULTSESS, TCPIP, SMF, SMS, Certificates, ACF2 and RACF, ZOS operating system, capacity forecasting and performance management. The candidate will lead other business analysts, act as a liaison between IT development group and business units, evaluate new applications and systems requirements, recommend appropriate systems alternatives, prepare communications and make presentations on system enhancements, and work under the direction of a project manager.

Requirements

• Senior level subject matter expertise in the following areas: Data at rest and motion encryption, IMS, Db2, VSAM, ICSF, Key management, SAS, MXG, PCOMM, VTAM, TPX,MULTSESS, TCPIP, SMF, SMS, Certificates, ACF2 and RACF, ZOS operating system, capacity forecasting and performance management
• Experience in multiple business areas and on multiple project types

Responsibilities

• Leads and coaches other business analysts at all levels
• Acts as a liaison between the IT development group and business units for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems
• Evaluates new applications and identifies systems requirements
• Evaluates new IT developments and evolving business requirements, and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems
• Prepares communications and makes presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives

Work hours are Monday - Friday, normal 37.5 hours weeks working remote 5 days a week
