Summary

Join our dynamic finance team as a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant. You will play a key role in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting and providing actionable insights to support performance and growth within our SaaS environment. This hands-on position involves month-end close, reporting, forecasting, and ensuring the integrity of our financial data. You will be responsible for tasks such as transaction coding, balance sheet reconciliations, preparing management accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting, assisting with revenue recognition, and preparing cash flow forecasts. The role also includes contributing to process improvements and supporting external reporting and audits. We offer a fully remote position with a competitive salary and benefits.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the United Kingdom
  • Must be immediately available or able to start with short notice
  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant or QBE (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
  • Experience in a finance role within a SaaS, tech, or subscription-based business
  • Strong grasp of core management accounting principles
  • High proficiency in Excel
  • Comfortable handling large volumes of data
  • Proactive and adaptable, team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all transactions are properly coded, purchase invoices are appropriately authorised and all bank payments are accurate and timely
  • Maintain robust balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accurate ledger postings
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis
  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles across the business, particularly around the operating costs
  • Assist with revenue recognition, including deferred revenue
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and support treasury management including bank reconciliation and inter account transfers
  • Contribute to process improvement, automation, and systems optimisation
  • Support external reporting, audit, and tax as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of revenue recognition best practices in SaaS
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, PE-backed or high-growth environment
  • Experience with Stripe & Xero
