Manager, Accounts Receivable

Summary

Join bswift as a Manager, Accounts Receivable to lead a team of three, overseeing billing, collections, and customer account management. You will ensure accurate invoicing, manage past-due accounts, and improve cash flow while maintaining strong customer relationships. The role involves analyzing AR data, recommending improvements, and collaborating with other departments. You will also prepare reports, support audits, and train team members. Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in accounts receivable, including credit/collections
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or minimum 10 years of accounts receivable experience
• 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AR best practices
• Proficient in accounting software NetSuite or other accounting software
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., XLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivots, SUMPRODUCT, advanced and embedded formulas, etc.)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the accounts receivable team
• Ensure timely and accurate billing and collections
• Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due accounts
• Establish, document and enforce credit policies and procedures
• Review and reconcile customer accounts
• Resolve billing disputes and customer inquiries in a timely manner
• Analyze AR data to identify trends and recommend improvements
• Lead billing and collections optimization and improvement projects
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Finance and Accounting on a monthly basis and to streamline processes
• Prepare daily, bi-weekly and/or monthly AR reports, KPIs and cash flow forecasts with variance explanations for management
• Support internal and external audits related to AR
• Train, mentor, and evaluate AR staff performance
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SaaS industry
• Familiarity with ERP systems and automated AR tools
