Join Sprout Social's Sales Development team in Ireland as a Manager, Business Development. Lead and mentor a team of Business Development Representatives, providing strategic guidance and coaching to drive sales growth. Collaborate with marketing, operations, and sales teams on account strategies. Ensure team alignment with company goals and initiatives. The ideal candidate is a creative, collaborative leader with proven success in sales management, exceeding quotas, hiring and developing salespeople, and fostering strong customer relationships. This role requires experience in outbound sales development and strategic process implementation. The position offers a hybrid work model with a minimum of three days per week in the Dublin office.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a sales management role or a comparable leadership development program
- Consistent track record of exceeding sales and/or retention quotas in an Account Executive or Account Management role
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic processes to increase team efficiencies
- Deep understanding of Outbound Sales Development - prospecting, cold calling, objection handling and qualifying
- Demonstrated ability to foster strong relationships across teams and functions
- Ability to work from Sprout’s Dublin office at least three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) with the possibility of additional in-office days depending on business needs
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Business Development Representatives who conduct cold outreach to generate interest in Sprout and provide strategic guidance to your team on how to qualify and sell Sprout Social as a must-have business tool to prospects
- Partner closely with our marketing, operations, enablement & sales teams to collaborate on account strategies while consistently achieving monthly quotas at the team level
- Coach and mentor Business Development Representatives and show a genuine motivation to help facilitate their sales career growth
- Provide clear, consistent communication and ensure your team is aligned with broader company goals and go-to-market initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Software sales experience with a deep understanding of creating and fostering an exciting team culture
- Technical expertise and ability to acquire knowledge of new products to be able to articulate value in an outbound prospecting motion
