Manager Financial Operations

Summary

Join Connor Group as a remote professional, with the possibility of onsite work at client locations when required. Contribute to finance projects that add value to clients' finance, accounting, and operations departments by solving complex business issues. This role involves managing assigned project areas, preparing project plans, participating in meetings, leading junior team members, and developing specialized expertise.

Requirements

• Good understanding of key business and finance processes (close process, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, equity, etc.)
• Experience in helping companies identify improvements in key process areas and in assisting with implementing those improvements
• Excellent interpersonal, writing, communication, and presentation skills
• Experience managing teams and projects
• Business consulting experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Minimum 5 -7 years consulting/industry experience required
• A willingness to travel

Responsibilities

• Manage and complete assigned project areas, creating high quality deliverables
• Prepare project plans, including key milestones and deliverables, and track and report on status, progress and risks
• Participate in and facilitate engagement team and client meetings and presentations
• Lead and train junior team members
• Prepare and monitor budgets and client billings
• Develop specialized expertise in multiple areas, solutions, and/or technology tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to financial systems and tools beneficial (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, BlackLine, Zuora, Coupa, Hyperion, Business Intelligence Databases)
• CPA and or MBA beneficial
• Six Sigma Green or Blackbelt beneficial
