Requirements

  • Terminal Degree required. MD/DO/OD/PhD/PharmD
  • Ophthalmology experience required. Dry Eye Disease experience preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in a Medical Affairs capacity required
  • Working knowledge of the Healthcare System and of the research procedures as well as the ICH guidelines, GCP, and other ethical guidelines
  • Proven ability and experience to develop and foster peer-to-peer, credible relationships with Medical Experts/decision makers
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret scientific/clinical literature
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English required

Responsibilities

  • Execute Medical Affairs strategies including engagement with opinion leaders, investigator-led research, HEOR, and data dissemination
  • Support publication planning, medical writing, medical advisory boards, educational programs, conferences, and responding to requests for medical information
  • Establish professional relationships with the medical community and exchange scientific knowledge with global and regional key opinion leaders
  • Partner with other departments to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant preparation and review of promotional and educational material
  • Execute a strategic publication and congress plan; work with internal colleagues to develop key messages on unmet need, mechanism of action, target product profile, and among others
  • Partner with Clinical Operations and Clinical Development to facilitate enrollment of company sponsored clinical trials
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues (e.g. marketing, sales, patient advocacy, clinical, regulatory, legal and market access) to develop and execute strategic plans
