Gideon300 is a leading public affairs consultancy that creates comprehensive external relations strategies for clients and guides them in strategic execution. As a part-time Public Affairs Campaign Manager contractor, you will shape and execute media campaigns to support clients' domestic and international public affairs initiatives. You will develop and implement media strategies, cultivate relationships with key media contacts, create compelling content, monitor media coverage, provide crisis communications support, collaborate with clients, and analyze campaign results.

Requirements

  • Passion for increasing the cultural impact of Judeo-Christian values around the globe by identifying cultural stakeholders with growth opportunities and creating strategic opportunities for their expansion using media, dynamic relationships, and strategic gatherings
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Media or a related field OR. 5 years of relevant field experience in media relations/public affairs
  • A keen understanding of the news cycle and what drives press coverage
  • Experience shaping public debate through media placements
  • Must respond quickly to and anticipate breaking news
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for client relationship management
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the media cycle (based on Eastern Seaboard), sometimes with early mornings, late evenings and some weekends
  • Excellent knowledge of Basecamp, Apple and GSuite products

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage media strategies that align with the public affairs goals of our clients
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices by constantly monitoring the news cycle to anticipate opportunities for clients
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media contacts, journalists, and influencers
  • Create compelling and newsworthy content, including press releases, statements, articles, and social media post, tailored to different media platforms
  • Continuously monitor media coverage to assess the effectiveness of media strategies
  • Develop crisis communication plans and provide support during public relations crises, maintaining a proactive approach to managing media reactions
  • Work closely with clients to understand their objectives, provide strategic counsel, and report on media campaign progress and outcomes
