Summary
Join Smartsheet as a Manager, Deal Operations to lead one of our deal operations teams. You will oversee daily sales operations and process optimization, reporting to the Director, Revenue Operations Excellence. This is a remote eligible position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of Channel Partner Ecosystems
- 5+ years of experience in Order Management, Deal Desk, Billing, or Finance Operations
- 2+ years experience in a managerial/supervisory role
- Working knowledge of Saas sales cycles, Renewals and Operations
- Ability to manage high volume of transactions and escalations with nonstandard terms
- Experience with Salesforce and SalesforceCPQ
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of Partner Operations Specialists who review and provide guidance on all Partner deal types
- Create, publish, and monitor key performance indicators to capture and manage team effectiveness
- Drive development of the team and monitor outcomes and achievement levels
- Responsible for creating, tracking and editing process documentation
- Drive teams operational performance within Salesforce CPQ to ensure all orders are processed completely & accurately
- Partner with Sales Leadership & Partner Program stakeholders to provide input and recommendations on non-standard orders based on billing and revenue objectives to minimize deal rejection
- Partner with internal teams (Order Operations, Finance, Legal, Field Systems and Sales teams) and Channel PartnersΒ to improve and implement best practices across the organization in relation to renewals, quote-to-cash and provisioning
- Manage specialized deal escalations and partner with other teams for approval and resolution
- Collaborate with finance operations, billing, and collections to optimize order processing to minimize booking errors
- Support, investigate and resolve all contract/order related issues
- Prepare team schedules and reports for management regarding key metrics
- Partner with sales leadership and Channel Partners to support contract negotiations for EOM, EOQ. and EOY close
