Summary

Join Smartsheet as a Manager, Deal Operations to lead one of our deal operations teams. You will oversee daily sales operations and process optimization, reporting to the Director, Revenue Operations Excellence. This is a remote eligible position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of Channel Partner Ecosystems
  • 5+ years of experience in Order Management, Deal Desk, Billing, or Finance Operations
  • 2+ years experience in a managerial/supervisory role
  • Working knowledge of Saas sales cycles, Renewals and Operations
  • Ability to manage high volume of transactions and escalations with nonstandard terms
  • Experience with Salesforce and SalesforceCPQ

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of Partner Operations Specialists who review and provide guidance on all Partner deal types
  • Create, publish, and monitor key performance indicators to capture and manage team effectiveness
  • Drive development of the team and monitor outcomes and achievement levels
  • Responsible for creating, tracking and editing process documentation
  • Drive teams operational performance within Salesforce CPQ to ensure all orders are processed completely & accurately
  • Partner with Sales Leadership & Partner Program stakeholders to provide input and recommendations on non-standard orders based on billing and revenue objectives to minimize deal rejection
  • Partner with internal teams (Order Operations, Finance, Legal, Field Systems and Sales teams) and Channel PartnersΒ  to improve and implement best practices across the organization in relation to renewals, quote-to-cash and provisioning
  • Manage specialized deal escalations and partner with other teams for approval and resolution
  • Collaborate with finance operations, billing, and collections to optimize order processing to minimize booking errors
  • Support, investigate and resolve all contract/order related issues
  • Prepare team schedules and reports for management regarding key metrics
  • Partner with sales leadership and Channel Partners to support contract negotiations for EOM, EOQ. and EOY close
