Summary

Join Collibra's Software Engineering team as a Software Engineering Manager, leading a team of 5-7 engineers in delivering high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with Product Management to align engineering efforts with business goals. Support team members' growth and development, contribute to architectural decisions, and drive cross-functional collaboration. Manage relationships with external vendors and ensure timely service delivery. This role requires strong people management, organizational skills, and a solid technical foundation. The position is full-time and requires work authorization in Poland.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or a related technical role
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership or people management position within an engineering team
  • Proficient in utilizing advanced software development tools and version control systems, such as GitHub and JIRA
  • Proficient in utilizing AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with distributed and diverse teams
  • A bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent related working experience is required
  • This is a full time employment position
  • You must have work authorization to work in Poland

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 5 to 7 software engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions following agile best practices
  • Collaborate with your Product Management counterpart to align engineering efforts with business goals and customer needs
  • Support your team members in growing their technical skills and developing their careers
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical designs to ensure scalability and performance
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to build a sense of ownership among team members
  • Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of services and integration with internal systems

  • Within your third month, you will lead your teamโ€™s Agile delivery, and have a solid understanding of your teamโ€™s challenges and priorities
  • Within your sixth month, you will be able to fully define, prioritize and lead your team in line with Collibraโ€™s vision and be fully independent in your role
