Summary
Join ServiceNow as an Engineering Manager and lead a team of talented engineers, driving automation and improving efficiency. You will oversee the design and deployment of build applications, select and implement DevOps tools, and develop disaster recovery plans. This role requires strong technical expertise in CI/CD, AWS, and IaC, as well as proven leadership experience. You will collaborate with various teams to create high-quality solutions and manage departmental resources. The ideal candidate possesses in-depth knowledge of CI/CD best practices, AWS Computing Services, and the ability to deliver applications and services at high velocity.
Requirements
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry
- Exceptional problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify root causes
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, best practices, and coding standards
- Experience developing and executing a strategic vision for various DevOps or SRE functions
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef
- Proven track record of leading and managing technical teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance evaluation
- 6+ years of experience implementing and managing DevOps and CI/CD practices in large-scale environments
Responsibilities
- Drive the automation of deployment, configuration management, and monitoring processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- Oversee the design, deployment, and management of the organization's build applications
- Select and implement appropriate DevOps tools and platforms
- Evaluate and select third-party tools and services that align with the organization's needs and goals
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of outages or disasters
- Drive root cause investigations, seeking the primary cause of the unexpected event, no matter where it lies
- Work with product management, development, design, support and other dev teams to create high-quality solutions
- Manage departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining a best-of-class engineering team
