Manager, Solutions Architect in Worldwide

Summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a dynamic Manager for their Solutions Architects team. The Manager will collaborate with clients to deploy and enhance Grafana technologies, manage a team of Solutions Architects, build educational programs, advise on sales strategies, and build lasting customer relationships. They require 3+ years of managing a Solutions Architecture team, 5+ years of experience in distributed applications, infrastructure architecture, database architecture, applications, and networking, 2+ years of experience in technology/software pre-sales or technical consulting, and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies. Preferred qualifications include experience building observability solutions, excellent communications and writing skills, K8’s experience, Linux experience, Shell scripting, API knowledge, and observability as a background.

Requirements

• 3+ years of managing a Solutions Architecture team in a related space
• 5+ years design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, applications, and networking, or similar technologies
• 2+ years of experience in technology/software pre-sales or technical consulting
• Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with key clients to deploy and enhance Grafana technologies
• Manage a team of Solutions Architects, ensuring members are effectively utilized and driving successful customer outcomes
• Build educational programs that enhance customer capabilities of the Grafana technology stack
• Advise on sales strategies that drive high adoption rates, improved renewal percentages, and ultimately increased revenue
• Build lasting customer relationships to enable them to be Grafana advocates and referenceable customers
• Craft Statements of Work (SOWs)
• Advocate for technological advancements to the Products team
• Resource and manage customer projects
• Drive operational scale
• Manage customer escalations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building/maintaining observability solutions
• Excellent communications and writing skills
• K8’s experience (2+ years in a company)
• Linux experience (2+ years in a company)
• Shell scripting, API knowledge
