Summary

Join Visa, a global leader in payments technology, as a Global Contingent Labor Category Manager. This critical role focuses on managing contingent labor needs across Visa, working with multiple suppliers and internal teams. You will support contract labor procurement, build supplier relationships, negotiate agreements, and ensure compliance. Responsibilities include working with legal teams on contract reviews, clarifying use cases, and optimizing costs. This remote position requires strong contract management, risk analysis, and stakeholder communication skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in contract labor, procurement strategies, and working with MSP programs.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
  • This role may require access to export-controlled commodities and technology
  • Therefore, to conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government

Responsibilities

  • Work with other members of the Visa Global Contingent Labor and other internal teams, along with our MSP, to ensure alignment with global category strategies
  • Support Global Contract Labor Procurement needs supporting Visa products, solutions, service provider, resale, and internal use requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with key members of Visa business units and COE organizations
  • Actively promote the use of existing suppliers, and lead course correction plans and realignment when existing suppliers donโ€™t match business requirements
  • Working with Legal Team, assist the business in reviewing 3rd party contract terms
  • Work with stakeholders to clarify and modify, as necessary, proposed use cases that drive sourcing and supplier selection decisions
  • Negotiate appropriate, consistent operational terms to satisfy business needs, including finance and budget awareness and compliance
  • Interface with assigned suppliers as necessary to maintain a strong relationship and ensure continuity of all required agreements
  • May assist across all phases of the Procurement lifecycle from sourcing strategy, RFP/RFI/RFx projects, business award, contract development and negotiation, supplier relationship and contract maintenance through contract expiration/termination
  • Serve as an escalation contact between the business and suppliers, lead the development/ negotiation of supplier improvement plans when necessary, along with the business unit Procurement Leads
  • Work with stakeholders to maximize contract compliance and avoid audit deficiencies, worker classification errors and penalties
  • Support our Procurement colleagues with supplier escalations, contractual requirements, Contract Labor Procurement best practices, guidance and mentoring as needed
  • Contribute to the achievement of annual CLP goals, including OKRโ€™s, KPIs, fiscal targets, maintenance of the contract database, third party risk management, etc
  • Maintain and comply with Visa code of ethics, corporate policies, and internal controls

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • 8+ years experience in Contract Labor field, with a strong awareness of Procurement strategies, including
  • Working with Talent Acquisition on contract hire positions
  • Experience with Managed Service Provider (MSP) programs
  • Contract experience with Fixed (SOW) as well as Time & Material (T&M) engagements, Freelance (โ€œgig workerโ€) models
  • Experience working with On-Demand Labor Platforms (contracting with Independent Contractors)
  • Experience with VMS systems
  • Service Provider rights or OEM terms
  • Strong contract redlining skills and understanding of commercial and legal contract terms, including those related to permanent or contractor hires
  • Strong risk analysis skills
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders in all relevant business units
  • Ability to handle ambiguity, help stakeholders understand critical decision points, work quickly to assist the business in time-bound projects, and gracefully handle unanticipated business and supplier changes that require changes to procurement strategies
  • Clear oral and written English communication skills
  • Experience in supplier evaluation and RFP/RFI/RFx score-carding
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and procurement tools and systems including Contract Lifecycle Management systems
