Join a growing fractional CFO firm specializing in ecommerce and CPG companies as their hands-on Marketing Manager. You will own the entire lead generation engine, ensuring high-quality prospects consistently flow into the pipeline. Responsibilities include developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns, creating compelling content, managing contractors, and utilizing AI tools. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of B2B marketing experience, a proven track record of generating leads for high-ticket services, strong writing skills, and experience with marketing automation platforms. This remote-friendly role offers flexible hours, 20 days of PTO, company-wide shutdowns, and the opportunity to build something from the ground up. The firm values autonomy and support, and your work will directly drive revenue.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of B2B marketing experience (financial services or professional services is a plus)
- Proven track record of generating leads for high-ticket services ($5-20k+ contracts, $100-500k LTV)
- Strong writing skills - you can write emails that get responses and content that builds trust
- Experience with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Go High Level, etc.)
- Fluent with AI tools for content creation and optimization
- Data-driven mindset - you make decisions based on metrics, not hunches
- Experience managing contractors and external partners
Responsibilities
- Lead Generation (Your North Star)
- Full ownership of lead quantity and quality metrics
- Develop and execute strategies to consistently hit monthly lead targets
- Track and optimize conversion rates from lead to discovery call
- Build predictable, scalable lead generation systems
- Campaign Development & Execution
- Create and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns targeting ecommerce and CPG founders/CEOs
- Write compelling cold email sequences that convert
- Develop scripts and content using AI tools
- Plan and manage our annual marketing calendar
- Test new channels and tactics to stay ahead of the curve
- Content & Digital Presence
- Own our website strategy and work with contractors on implementation
- Create and optimize landing pages for campaigns
- Develop case studies and thought leadership content
- Write blog posts, LinkedIn content, and email newsletters
- Ensure our messaging resonates with ecommerce/CPG executives
- Team & Contractor Management
- Manage relationships with design, web development, and other marketing contractors
- Coordinate with our cold email technical contractor
- Work closely with our paid media agency to ensure aligned messaging
- Brief and manage freelance writers as needed
- Strategic Thinking
- Research and implement industry best practices
- Identify new opportunities in the fractional CFO and ecommerce/CPG space
- Develop ideal customer profiles and buyer personas
- Create positioning that differentiates us from other financial service providers
- Track competitor movements and market trends
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of the ecommerce/CPG landscape is a huge plus
