Join DevRev as their Marketing Research, Measurement, and Strategy Lead and drive data-informed marketing decisions and strategic growth initiatives. Lead comprehensive competitive research, inform data-backed marketing briefs, create frameworks for measuring ROI, and analyze user needs to identify growth opportunities. Develop detailed B2B personas, deliver insights across departments, analyze product usage data, and drive decisions around vendors and software. Mentor and lead a global team, providing strategic focus and clarity within the marketing organization. This critical leadership role will help build DevRev's growing marketing organization and establish its marketing research function.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, Analytics, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in marketing analytics and strategy roles
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated comfort with ambiguity, requiring self-directed decision making
- Proven track record of leading data-driven marketing initiatives
- Experience with B2B SaaS marketing analytics
- Strong background in competitive analysis and market research
- Excellence in cross-functional team leadership
- Advanced proficiency in analytics tools and data visualization
Responsibilities
- Competitive Intelligence: Lead comprehensive competitive research to stay ahead of marketplace dynamics and trends
- Campaign Strategy: Inform data-backed marketing briefs based on marketplace insights and business/user needs
- Impact Measurement: Create frameworks for measuring strategic marketing initiative ROI
- Customer Insight: Analyze and understand both buyer and end-user needs to identify growth opportunities, and champion the voice of the user across the company
- Persona Development: Develop detailed B2B user and buyer personas based on user needs and feedback
- Cross-functional Leadership: Deliver contextually relevant insights across marketing and other departments, working collaboratively with sales, customer experience, finance, product, and engineering
- Product Analytics: Analyze product usage data to map behaviors to user needs and attitudes, and track performance metrics and KPIs to influence product development
- Resource Development: Drive decisions around vendors, software
- Team Leadership: Mentor and help lead a global team, providing strategic focus and clarity within the marketing organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Marketing, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field
- Experience in developer tools or enterprise software industry
- Knowledge of AI/ML applications in marketing
- Track record of building and scaling analytics teams
- International market experience
