Medical Language Specialist

Summary

Join iMedX, a Rapid Care Group company, as a full-time Medical Language Specialist supporting Voice Recognition editing accounts. This position offers various shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) from Sunday through Thursday or Thursday through Monday. The role requires at least one year of acute-care hospital and/or clinic medical transcription/editing experience in at least four specialties. A fast-paced environment with a 1-2 hour turnaround time is expected. The workload involves up to 90% voice recognition editing. Stable, new, large accounts are available for dedicated Medical Transcriptionists (MTs) with proven work independence and excellent quality and production history. Competitive rates are offered.

Requirements

• Requires at least one year of acute-care hospital and/or clinic (at least (4) four specialties) medical transcription/medical editing experience in addition to any formal training
• Proven ability to move between accounts with urgency and accuracy
• PC and high-speed cable-modem or DSL required; no dial-up or satellite
• Microsoft Windows 8, 8.1 or 10
• Intel i5 or i7 class processor or greater
• 100 MB hard disk space
• RAM Minimum - 4GB
• Proven work independence and an excellent quality and production history

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced environment with required 1-2 hour TAT
• Move between accounts with urgency and accuracy
• Edit voice recognition transcriptions (up to 90% of workload)
