Requirements
- Have a go-getter mentality, pay high-attention to detail, and are hyper-organized
- Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Have experience maintaining accuracy of patient's medical records, and have some working knowledge of HIPAA and other medical insurance regulations and terminology for private payer, state and federal plans including coding, billing, and reimbursement protocols
- Can comfortably navigate the MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel
Responsibilities
- Maintain various files, logs, medical records ensuring accuracy and completeness of information
- Assemble patients' health information including patient symptoms, medical history, exam results, reports, and billing
- Review and ensure all patient forms are completed, properly identified, signed, and are uploaded in preferred style
- Communicate as needed with physicians and other health care professionals to clarify and obtain information
- Submit requested documentation to physicians or for use in legal actions while following patient consent and confidentiality protocols
- Optimize medical records and billing operations to support business growth
- Enhance communication skills for patient and physician satisfaction
- Implement new processes for efficiency and scalability
- Foster positive stakeholder relationships to support cross-functional collaboration
- Grow as a leader on the team and mentor future hires on processes and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
Have worked in the legal industry (the personal injury space would be a huge plus)
