Join Softjourn as a Business Analyst for a 3-4 month contract with the potential for long-term employment. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements, working closely with various teams, and ensuring alignment with business goals. The ideal candidate possesses 2+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field, experience with Agile methodologies, and strong analytical skills. Familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence is also required. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge technology project and collaborate with a skilled team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis, product ownership, or a related field
  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Experience working with stakeholders, gathering requirements, and translating them into functional specifications
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Analytical mindset with a strong ability to troubleshoot and propose solutions
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Trello
  • Upper-intermediate (B2–B2+) level of English

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
  • Define and prioritize user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
  • Ensure requirements are clear, complete, and aligned with business goals
  • Manage changes to requirements and assess their impact on the project
  • Work closely with product owners, project managers, developers, and QA teams
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discussions to understand business needs
  • Act as a bridge between business and technical teams
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Work with technical teams to design solutions that meet business requirements
  • Ensure that the proposed solution aligns with system capabilities and constraints
  • Identify potential risks related to business requirements and system changes
  • Assess and document the impact of new requirements on existing processes
  • Collaborate with PMs and stakeholders to mitigate risks
  • Maintain and create documentation, including BRDs, FRDs, and user stories
  • Ensure all documentation is up to date and accessible to relevant teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Audio/Video management systems projects
  • Understanding of APIs, databases, and system integrations
  • Certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile/Scrum certifications)
