Summary
Join VetsEZ as a Network Administrator to support a government IT contract focused on VistA network infrastructure. You will collaborate with IT engineers to ensure network stability and efficiency, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate updates to the client. This fully remote position requires administering and maintaining the VistA network, troubleshooting issues, developing network diagrams, and presenting reports. You will also support network planning and execution within a SAFe/Agile environment, monitor performance, and ensure security compliance. The role demands strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Network Administrator supporting government IT systems, preferably with VistA networks
- Strong ability to develop and maintain network diagrams using industry-standard tools
- Hands-on experience collaborating with other technical engineers in a complex network environment
- Familiarity with SAFe/Agile methodologies and participation in agile ceremonies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively share network status with technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (existing clearance is a plus)
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the VistA network infrastructure in compliance with government IT standards
- Interface with other IT team technical engineers to troubleshoot, resolve, and document network issues
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed network diagrams and associated documentation
- Present network configurations, updates, and performance reports to the client and stakeholders as required
- Support the planning and execution of network-related tasks within a SAFe/Agile environment
- Monitor network performance, ensure security compliance, and recommend improvements
- Respond promptly to network incidents and outages to ensure minimal downtime
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project
