Requirements
- Compliance with DoD 8140 and DAFMAN 17-1305 is mandatory
- At least 5 years ISSM experience within the last 8 years
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a journeyman working within the Government ATO process
- Must be a certified network professional
- Must be proficient in network management and security
- Must be able to demonstrate successful project experience
- Must understand the key components and purpose of an ATO
- Must understand the concept of information/hardware/software boundaries
- Must understand the concept and requirements of a Cross Domain Solution (CDS)
- Must possess AT LEAST ONE of the following certifications: CISM CISSO FITSP-M GCIA GCSA GCIH GSLC GICSP CISSP-ISSMP CISSP
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Collateral Secret Security Clearance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage workload across competing priorities and work efficiently towards timely task completion
- Ability to work independently and proactively and with a team
Responsibilities
- Develop an ATO package from Ground Zero that meets security and mission requirements
- Define Network boundaries and any necessary boundary mitigations
- Work as part of the project development team to: Understand project needs and provide feedback and advice for project development
- Work as an embedded member of the team
- Understand the project, its goals, constraints, and requirements to develop an appropriate Authority to Operate (ATO)
- Act as liaison between Project and Cyber\\(Network Security, Cloud hosting environments and any entity necessary for project development to ensure that requirements and configurations are understood and implemented correctly ensuring that project and network are compatible and project goals can be met
- Report daily the project progress status, concerns that may hinder project development or operation, research/recommend actions to remedy
- Understand Network infrastructure, security, vulnerabilities and apply mitigation best practice
- Liaison with the Project AO to ensure that all requirements and mandates are being met
- Liaise with local network administrators to ensure project compliance and manage any project-required modification requests
- Manage network configuration needs to completion
- Report weekly to project leadership on current status, issues, and roadblocks
