Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VPNs
  • Experience with network security practices
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and analysis tools such as NetScout, WireShark, and Splunk
  • Ability to travel as needed and obtain a government clearance

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain a secure and scalable network infrastructure
  • Perform network configuration, upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
  • Conduct network monitoring and analysis using tools like NetScout, WireShark, and Splunk
  • Configure and manage firewall rules, VPNs, and security policies
  • Manage and optimize server load balancing, SSL offloading, and certificate management
  • Ensure high availability, redundancy, and failover capabilities across network systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with VA or federal organizations is a plus
  • Familiarity with Data Migration and Syndication within the VA preferred
