Summary
Join Quetica as a full-time Cloud Network Engineer to support the Minnesota Department of Public Safety and Bureau of Criminal Apprehension's Network Operations Team. You will be responsible for Azure Cloud network design, implementation, support, maintenance, and configuration. This hybrid role requires a minimum of two days per week onsite in Saint Paul, MN. Responsibilities include designing cloud solutions, implementing network infrastructure, developing technical documentation, cross-training staff, and working with a product owner and architect. The position requires five or more years of experience in cloud network infrastructure and specific certifications. The project is anticipated to run from February 10, 2025, to February 9, 2027.
Requirements
- Five (5) or more years of Cloud Network infrastructure design, implementation, and support
- Expert knowledge and skills in TCP/IP and network security, compliance, and best practice
- Ability to perform advanced technical issue analysis and troubleshooting within a Cloud infrastructure
- Experience migrating legacy applications to cloud environments while adhering to cloud native standards
- Strong network engineering experience (Cisco route/switch, firewall, load balancing, DNS)
- Cloud networking experience in one or more platforms: Azure, AWS, Google, on premise cloud
- Strong analytical, oral and written communications, problem solving, and human relations skills
- Candidates should have full lifecycle experience with hybrid clouds including: architecture/design, build, and ongoing operational support
- Experience in creating training materials and educating team members as well as technical stakeholders
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Checkpoint, or other network certifications
- Experience using network protocol analyzers for configuring and fine-tune monitoring, alerting, and event management for cloud network services
Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and implement client-specific cloud solutions, including private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures and on premise integrations
- Design and implement network infrastructure, including routers, load balancers, switches, and firewalls
- Develop detailed technical processes and supporting documentation for cloud services
- Document design, implementation, and support and maintenance of Cloud infrastructure
- Cross train and mentor current staff on Cloud tools and technologies
- Work alongside other cloud engineers to design, automate, and support Infrastructure Landing Zones in our various Cloud providers
- Work with product owner and architect to define technical deliverables for requests and features based on internal stakeholder needs using Agile Framework and agile processes
- Provide knowledge transfer
