Network Security Operations Engineer

Summary

Join Experian, the world's leading global information services company, as a Network Security Operations Engineer Expert. This permanent, home-based role in Costa Rica requires at least 5 years of security experience with expertise in WAF, IPS, and Checkpoint or Fortinet firewalls. You will design, implement, and manage security systems, respond to incidents, and collaborate with the security team. Proficiency in Python and AWS experience are required. Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in security, with a focus on WAF, IPS, and firewalls
• Proficiency in managing Checkpoint or Fortinet firewalls
• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Intermediate proficiency in Python programming is required
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Cloud Web Application Firewalls to protect web applications from security threats
• Provide SME expertise on security incidents, audits, and high priority escalations
• Configure and maintain Intrusion Prevention Systems to detect and prevent security breaches
• Manage Checkpoint/Fortinet firewalls
• Collaborate with the security team to enforce security policies and procedures
• Analyze security logs to identify and respond to potential security incidents
• Conduct regular security assessments, review vulnerability scans to meet audit requirements
• Maintain documentation for security configurations, processes, and procedures
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members on security-related issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the Agile framework is beneficial
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or AWS Certified Security are beneficial
• Experience with other security technologies
