Onboarding Accountant

Summary

Join Collective as an Onboarding Accountant and help solopreneurs succeed! You'll conduct daily video calls with members, leverage your 5+ years of accounting expertise to create financial statements, and explain complex topics simply. This temporary, 6-month role requires strong accounting skills, experience with payroll, and exceptional customer service. You'll be a key advisor to our entrepreneurs, helping them navigate bookkeeping, payroll, and taxes. Requirements

• Your passion for helping our members and your ability to thrive in a customer centric role
• Minimum 5+ years experience in accounting, creating financial statements
• Customer service oriented, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks
• Write and talk like a seasoned professional
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Conduct video Zoom calls with members everyday (~4-5 hours per day)
• Use your 5+ years of accounting expertise to create P&L reports and Balance Sheet Statements for members who come to you with mixed business and personal accounts
• Breakdown complex technical topics in layman terms for our members
• Help members run first payroll and understand payroll taxes
• Passion for supporting entrepreneurs and the self-employed

Preferred Qualifications

• Bonus points for CPAs
• Xero, QuickBooks Online, Gusto, ADP, or equivalent accounting and payroll software
• Strong understanding of payroll taxes and experience with payroll migrations
