Onboarding Associate

Summary

The Onboarding Associate role at BitGo involves conducting due diligence checks, providing customer service, and working closely with internal teams to ensure compliance with AML/KYC requirements. The role supports APAC onboarding requirements and reports to the CEO/Director of Operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and an advanced degree or certification
• 2-3 years of experience in the financial services sector or handling end-to-end onboarding of new/existing customer accounts; knowledge and experience in collection of Know Your Customer (“KYC”) information and managing the customer onboarding would be an advantage
• Highly effective verbal and written communications
• Strong customer service skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Highly organized with work tools like emails, spreadsheets, databases
• Extremely high sense of urgency when servicing external and internal clients
• Analytical skills, positive attitude, listening and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Conducting client due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (ECDD) in accordance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
• Providing high-quality customer service by owning, monitoring, and improving customer service, handling customer inquiries, managing communications with customers throughout the entire onboarding process
• Involvement in account acceptance/reviews, account opening procedures, distribution, and closing account procedures
• Working closely with internal teams to ensure a cohesive approach to customer onboarding and account administration
• Participating in internal and external training programs related to AML/CFT and other subjects that may form part of the day-to-day work requirements
