Summary

Join Pragma, a company building a backend game engine for live-service games, as an experienced engineer. You will be part of a passionate, remote-first team and work on implementing and supporting the game engine. Requirements

• Deep empathy for game engineers and a desire to improve their quality of life by delivering simple yet robust interfaces
• A team-oriented mindset that prioritizes team effectiveness over individual efficiency
• Desire to continuously collaborate using voice or video channels in a remote-first environment
• Experience with constructing distributed systems that scale
• Experience integrating/maintaining APIs/SDKs to remote applications, especially game platforms
• Experience with automated testing, including unit, integration, and load tests

Responsibilities

• Implement and support the game engine
• Build the APIs that game engineers use to power their multiplayer games
• Partner with product managers to understand the problem space
• Propose solutions
• Participate in customer interviews
• Deliver the product
