Summary

The Operations Associate at University of Maryland Hillel is responsible for assisting with database management, administrative support, coordinating logistics, maintaining the website, and building security. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • One to three years' experience in an administrative position, preferably in a non-profit organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Canva, and social media platforms; Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Database Management experience – Salesforce preferred
  • Ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • A self-starter, data and deadline driven, and ability to multi-task with solid organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to collaborate across teams both inside and outside of Hillel, successfully managing multiple priorities
  • Willingness to facilitate conversations and learn more about Judaism and Israel in a way that inspires stakeholders to invest in our work

Responsibilities

  • Assist with database management: update and clean-up lists, merge records, update system, and coordinate between various database systems
  • Run lists, queries, and reports to assist the development team in meeting our annual campaign goals
  • Provide administrative support as needed for a variety of internal and external programs and events
  • Coordinate logistics with staff and student leaders for program needs
  • Maintain Maryland Hillel’s website
  • Assist the Director of Finance and Operations on building security and security protocols and emergency management planning
  • Serve as the liaison between outside catering groups and Dining Manager
