Operations Data Analyst

Requirements

• Proven experience as a data analyst, business analyst, or similar role, with a track record of analyzing and deriving insights from complex datasets
• Must have 2+ years experience in SQL
• Solid understanding of data visualization principles and experience with Looker
• Experience working with events data and nested data such as arrays and JSON datasets
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities with a keen eye for detail

Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations with tools like BigQuery, Looker and SQL
• Create clear and compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate findings and insights to stakeholders
• Develop interactive dashboards
• Validate and verify the accuracy and integrity of analytical results by implementing validation techniques
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of business needs and contribute to data-driven research
• Work closely with stakeholders to define reporting objectives, and translate those results into useful Looker dashboards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python
• Experience with other additional data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or open-source alternatives
• Experience working with APIs (preferably REST or GraphQL APIs)
• Understanding of ETL pipelines and data transformation best practices
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub workflows, Jira and software development processes
