Join a fast-growing, Y Combinator-backed startup revolutionizing product quality management for consumer brands. As an Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in scaling operational systems, streamlining vendor and client interactions, and managing logistics across the global supply chain. You will be responsible for evaluating and enhancing internal workflows, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and fix inefficiencies, and owning end-to-end delivery of operational projects and client fulfillment. You will also act as the go-to for client communications on operational issues, coordinate with international vendors and inspection teams, and oversee contracts, vendor relationships, and performance metrics. This role requires strong organizational skills, tech-savviness, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or project management
- Direct experience in a startup environment is required
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (macros are a bonus)
- Familiarity with ClickUp, Hubspot, Monday.com, or similar tools
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and enhance internal workflows (SOPs, SLAs, logistics coordination)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and fix inefficiencies
- Own end-to-end delivery of operational projects and client fulfillment
- Act as the go-to for client communications on operational issues
- Coordinate with international vendors and inspection teams to resolve issues and hit deadlines
- Oversee contracts, vendor relationships, and performance metrics
- Use tools like ClickUp, Hubspot, and Excel (macros a plus) to manage tasks and automate workflows
- Report bugs, help streamline tooling, and contribute to product improvement efforts
- Keep detailed records of project statuses, SOPs, and vendor/client interactions
- Assist leadership with operational planning, data analysis, and special projects
- Contribute to team reporting on KPIs like NPS, SLAs, and task completion
- Fast, clear, and reliable communication (<12-hour response time including weekends)
- High satisfaction from clients and vendors (via NPS or feedback)
- Operational systems and SOPs that scale with the company
- Initiative in reporting and resolving bottlenecks before they become problems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in e-commerce, D2C brands, or supply chain management
- Comfortable juggling diverse projects with minimal hand-holding
- Bonus points for coding skills, technical aptitude, or automation experience
- Chinese language skills or multicultural work experience a plus
