Optimization Engineer

Join Legion's mission to turn hourly jobs into good jobs. As an Optimization Engineer, you will be a member of the team responsible for the implementation and evolution of the Legion scheduling application.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of mathematical optimization concepts like linear programming, mixed integer programming, etc
• Ability to write secure, efficient, enterprise quality Java code
• Deep understanding of the techniques and technologies that are necessary for scalability and performance
• Familiarity with Springboot, Hibernate, MySQL
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Operations Research or similar field

Responsibilities

As an Optimization Engineer, you will be a member of the team responsible for the implementation and evolution of the Legion scheduling application

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-5 years of experience working with optimization problems particularly scheduling optimization
• Ability to operate in an environment with limited resources
• Great communicator who can distill powerful messages which resonate with customers
• Track record of building positive relationships with peers
