Optimization Strategist

Summary

Join Gurobi Optimization as an Optimization Strategist and play a key role in expanding the company's academic and commercial presence. You will develop and deliver high-quality thought leadership materials, represent Gurobi at various events, and drive the expansion of Gurobi's academic and technical communities. This role involves creating innovative engagement pathways, enhancing user experience, and leading projects exploring new engagement opportunities. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Academic Programs and the Vice President of Marketing. The position requires strong content development, training execution, and project management skills. Success in this role demands excellent communication, collaboration, and a user-centric approach.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred in a relevant field
• 2-5 years of experience in a SaaS environment, demonstrating a strong capability in content development and training execution
• Proven skills in creating robust training materials and conducting in-person and remote training sessions
• Excellent command of the English language
• Strong expertise in project management and data-driven decision-making, with a detail-oriented and proactive approach
• Ability to cultivate positive, productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to large audiences
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, demand generation, and academic partners
• A user-centric mindset, focusing on understanding audience needs and leveraging emerging technologies to tailor content and messaging
• Knowledge of modern education or training techniques (including relevant platforms and/or vendors)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and foster collaboration
• Ability to excel while working from home, embracing a start-up-like and fast-paced working culture
• Proven experience in owning large-scale projects (end-to-end)
• Willingness to travel to industry events and team offsites and events

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality thought leadership materials, including presentations, blogs, white papers, and webinars
• Represent Gurobi at academic and industry conferences, meetings, and events to showcase our expertise through presentations in front of 15 to 400 people, training, and engaging with the academic and commercial communities
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to craft compelling stories highlighting optimization's role in addressing real-world challenges
• Advising on technical marketing material creation for academic and commercial audiences
• Drive the expansion of Gurobi’s academic and technical communities by creating innovative engagement pathways
• Enhance the user experience by refining certificate programs, gamification tools, and other interactive learning resources
• Management of LMS strategy and/or community platform with educational components
• Develop strategies to attract and retain academic users and bridge the gap between commercial and academic audiences, increasing participation and brand loyalty through training and educational materials
• Lead projects that explore new opportunities to engage academic and commercial audiences, such as gamified learning experiences, course pathways, and digital resources like eBooks
• Collaborate across teams to ideate and execute creative initiatives that introduce optimization to new markets and academic disciplines
• Contribute to strategic planning by leveraging data-driven insights, professional experience, and emerging industry trends
• Work among the top experts in the field of Optimization on challenging problems
• Help customers by improving our self-service support experience
• Keep learning with internal seminars given by our development team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in collaborating with academic institutions or within academic settings
• Additional language skills
• Master’s degree in a relevant field
