Summary

Join Zelh, a rapidly growing outsourcing company, as a Packaging Buyer to lead and manage the sourcing, pricing, and procurement of all packaging materials. This role involves vendor onboarding, cost negotiations, and part number creation. The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of packaging materials, supplier capabilities, and procurement best practices within a manufacturing setting. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure packaging meets specifications and timelines. The position requires 10+ years of experience in packaging procurement or supply chain management and proficiency in ERP systems. A competitive salary in USD and benefits are offered.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in packaging procurement or packaging supply chain management
  • Strong understanding of packaging materials, sourcing strategies, and industry suppliers
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, food, beverage, cosmetics, or supplements environment preferred
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end procurement of all packaging components (e.g., bottles, lids, boxes)
  • Identify and qualify new packaging suppliers and initiate onboarding with finance and operations teams
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and MOQs to support operational and financial targets
  • Create and manage part numbers, material specifications, and vendor information in the ERP system
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Quality, and Production teams to ensure packaging meets specs and timelines
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure vendors are set up for payment and purchasing
  • Track packaging cost trends and suggest cost-saving opportunities
  • Support supply continuity and proactively manage risk in the packaging supply base

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Packaging Science, or related field
  • Experience in global sourcing or importing packaging components
  • Familiarity with sustainable or eco-friendly packaging trends
