Summary

Join Stripe's Verifications and Identity Platform partnerships team as a Partner Development Manager. You will be responsible for executing partnerships supporting Stripe's risk product business. This role involves building relationships with existing and new partners, optimizing partnerships for growth, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. You will leverage industry knowledge to craft partnership strategies, identify new opportunities, and drive innovation. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication, negotiation, and technical skills, along with experience in partnerships and business development. This position offers the chance to significantly impact Stripe's global expansion strategy.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, corporate development or related field
  • Experience negotiating commercial deals with partners, including scaling such deals across multiple partners
  • Exceptionally strong communication skills, in both verbal and written form, and ability to influence stakeholders across a wide variety of functions, including at executive levels
  • Technical acumen, especially an ability to understand product strategy and use this understanding to define requirements for scaling products through partnerships
  • Experience developing partnership strategies and identifying, sourcing, and analyzing new partnership opportunities
  • Strong agency, can handle ambiguity in a fast-moving organization, and thrives on a high level of autonomy and responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Leverage industry knowledge to craft thoughtful partnership and product strategies, and execute deals and initiatives that support Stripe’s strategy
  • Gather inputs from and coordinate with internal cross-functional stakeholders (including risk, compliance, product, engineering, security) to drive creation and execution of partner (and related product) strategy
  • Identify and effectively analyze new partnership opportunities for Stripe, ultimately making recommendations to relevant decision makers and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Use strategic and product creativity to collaborate with Stripe leaders to drive innovation
  • Identify partner stakeholders to educate them about Stripe’s value proposition and build alignment between Stripe and our partner’s executive teams
  • Exhibit an operationally focused mindset, with an ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex relationship management activities by setting a clear vision, and running coordinated processes

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience related to KYC/KYB providers, verification aggregators, fraud platforms or other high-growth technology companies on platform or product partnership efforts
