Summary

Join Chainguard, a leader in secure open-source software, as a highly motivated Sales (Partner) Engineer. You will fully enable our Partner Sales and Technical teams to help potential customers evaluate and prove the value of our solution, focusing on acquiring new customers and growing the existing base. This role requires strong technical knowledge, understanding of technical wins, and relationship-building skills. You will conduct product demonstrations, participate in marketing initiatives, and work with sales teams to build partnerships. Chainguard offers a collaborative and supportive environment with a focus on intentional action and customer obsession. We are looking for individuals with 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the partner ecosystem, along with expertise in container and cloud technologies and security.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience working as a Sales Engineer / Presales Engineer in the Partner ecosystem
  • Ability to bring contacts and network to grow the Chainguard partner ecosystem working alongside the EMEA Partner Manager
  • Experience with MEDDPICC and or Command of the Message sales frameworks
  • Experience selling into Enterprise and Mid Market prospects
  • Experience in the following areas: Container technologies (Kubernetes, Serverless, Docker)
  • Experience in the following areas: Cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.)
  • Experience in the following areas: Cloud security or containers security
  • Your passion for technology, success, and for your team

  • People acting as trusted advisors, able to build credibility with customers
  • Strong team players committed to help and mentor their peers

Responsibilities

  • Fully enable our Partner Sales and Technical teams to help potential customers evaluate and prove the value of our solution
  • Focus on acquiring new customer β€œlogos” in addition to growing existing customer base
  • Own all technical aspects of partner led opportunities and assisting current customers understand the value of Chainguard
  • Listen to our partners and their potential to understand challenges
  • Conduct product demonstrations and POVs/POCs
  • Actively participate in webinars, meetups, conferences and other marketing initiatives
  • Work with Sales teams to build partnership in key regions
  • Create technical evangelists in partner community
  • Build relationships with Solution Architects in CSP’s
  • Provide product feedback to Chainguard from Partner community
