Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a dental practice or healthcare setting, with a focus on patient engagement, appointment scheduling, and administrative support
- Demonstrated proficiency in using OpenDental is essential. Prior experience with Dentrix, EagleSoft, CurveDental, Denticon, or similar dental practice management software is highly desirable
- Preferably, prior experience processing insurance claims within a dental practice environment
- Dental Practice Software Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with OpenDental is essential. Familiarity with Dentrix, EagleSoft, CurveDental, Denticon, or similar software is highly advantageous
- Insurance Claims Processing: Preferred experience in processing insurance claims within a dental practice setting
- Patient-Centric Approach: A strong commitment to patient satisfaction, communication, and engagement
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring effective interactions with patients, team members, and insurance providers
- Customer Service Excellence: Demonstrates a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor, ensuring exceptional patient experience
Responsibilities
- Facilitate effective patient engagement by scheduling appointments, addressing inquiries, and maintaining accurate patient records using OpenDental and other relevant software
- Leverage expertise in insurance claim procedures to assist in processing claims accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely reimbursement for dental services
- Utilize OpenDental, Dentrix, EagleSoft, CurveDental, Denticon, or other applicable software platforms to manage patient information, appointments, billing, and insurance details
- Coordinate patient appointments, optimizing the scheduling system to manage patient flow and provider availability
- Collaborate with patients to explain treatment costs, billing inquiries, and insurance coverage, ensuring a clear understanding of financial responsibilities
- Educate patients about recommended treatments, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care, enhancing patient understanding and compliance
- Contribute to practice efficiency by streamlining administrative processes, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the dental team's needs
- Maintain thorough and organized records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and insurance documentation
- Liaise with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care coordination and efficient practice operations
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing patient concerns, maintaining a positive demeanor, and fostering a welcoming and friendly environment
