Summary

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical related area of study
  • Minimum 8-10 years of strategic selling or business development experience within the Health Plan segment
  • Ability to manage and lead high performing SE, SME, ELT, and Clinical teams
  • Embraces and thrives in a culture of transparency, accountability, and trust
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently, prioritize work and coordinate multiple tasks within tight time constraints
  • Ability to navigate the strategic level of customer organizations, identify key decision-makers, build relationships with senior executives and schedule meeting with key stakeholders
  • Ability to establish strong team relationships in a matrix organization
  • Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Possess account knowledge, executive-level customer contacts and industry relationships inside the Health Plan market space
  • Command of social media for the benefit of lead generation, gaining access to executives and networking with key stakeholders
  • Strong aptitude with business software tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate complex contracts

Responsibilities

  • Target key relationships across assigned territory
  • Manage and direct activities for business development in Strategic, Enterprise, and Mid-Market segments with an established territory
  • Develop and execute a broad selling strategy, including executing tactical Top-line sales and lead generation activities, closing new business and cross-selling within established named accounts
  • Consistently identifies opportunities and develops sales strategy in conjunction with strategic account managers and Cohere Executive team
  • Effectively presents Cohere Health’s platform and service offerings to Health Plan executives
  • Effectively leverages Cohere Health executives, the pre-sales team and services staff to support Health Plan presentations
  • Develops and maintains an effective sales and market penetration plan for assigned territory
  • Effectively documents account research, activities, and other required reporting into Cohere’s sales tools and system salesforce.com
  • Solicits product and market feedback and communicates this feedback to sales leadership, marketing and the product development team (feature requests, market trends, competition intelligence, new opportunities)
  • Complies with all corporate policies and completes all administrative tasks on time

Preferred Qualifications

Experience selling complex, multi-stakeholder solutions - SaaS, healthcare IT, healthcare services, interoperability and Specialty Utilization Management solutions selling a plus
