Payment Integrations Specialist

Summary

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical documentation to implement file formats
• Understanding of file structures, structured data formats such as XML and JSON, and data transformation techniques to ensure accurate processing of payment files
• Experience with basic scripting, terminal-based operations, and advanced text editors such as VIM or an IDE to support integration tasks and troubleshooting
• Strong analytical abilities to assess client needs and develop effective integration solutions
• Proven problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and payment systems

Responsibilities

• Process client requests and implement new payment file formats (e.g., bank-proprietary formats, domestic fixed-length or CSV-based formats, and ISO 20022/XML implementations) within Deel's platform
• Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide technical support throughout the integration process, ensuring smooth implementation and issue resolution
• Coordinate with external banking partners to facilitate smooth integration processes
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to improve the system’s capability to support diverse payment formats across global banking networks, enhancing both usability and scalability
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline the onboarding of new payment formats, increasing efficiency and reducing time to implementation
• Develop documentation and training materials to assist both clients and internal teams in managing payment integrations effectively
• Stay updated on global payment processing trends and emerging technologies to enhance Deel's payment integration capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a fintech or global payroll company
• Familiarity with payment file formats and global banking systems
• Project management experience with a focus on technical integrations
