Summary

Join Airbnb's dynamic Payments team as a Payments Program Manager! You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute strategic initiatives, driving the execution of global projects. This role requires strong program management expertise, experience in payments, and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for managing timelines, tracking success criteria, and communicating project status to stakeholders. Success will be measured by your ability to anticipate risks, manage resources, and meet key milestones. This US-based remote eligible position offers a competitive salary and potential for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of program management experience, with a strong emphasis on program management best practices and methods, ideally in a high-growth, high-volume platform tech environment
  • Expertise in Payments, including Routing, Processing, Payments Risk, Compliance, and Product Strategy
  • Proven experience in working with collaborative program management tools such as Asana, AirTable, JIRA, Google Docs, and in agile/scrum environments
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior leaders
  • Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle and experience formulating digestible content from multiple sources
  • Strong ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, managing dependencies, risks, and issues
  • BS/BA degree in business or a technical field, or equivalent job experience

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Payments leadership to define and execute strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate with Payments Product and Engineering teams to develop project plans, track success criteria, and manage timelines
  • Effectively communicate project status, risks, and deliverables to key stakeholders across the organization
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize operational requirements, ensuring a flawless payments experience
  • Drive change management by influencing key stakeholders and fostering consensus through clear communication and leadership
  • Continuously improve processes by leveraging best practices and advocating for product improvements and tools necessary for project success

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Consulting, Business Operations, or a similar role, and a bias for action and independent problem-solving
  • Ability to work with international partners and across multiple time zones, as well as flexibility in managing global programs
