WorkMotion

📍Remote - Egypt

Summary

Join WorkMotion's Payroll Team as a Payroll Generalist and be part of a global, remote-first company. This role is ideal for someone with the right mindset and ambition to break into the payroll field, not necessarily prior experience. You will manage and process payroll-related administrative data, including collating monthly inputs, validating outputs, managing post-payroll tasks, processing invoices, and resolving queries. The position demands accuracy, accountability, and timely delivery. It's a chance to learn payroll from the ground up, work in a fast-paced environment, and gain international exposure. WorkMotion values work-life balance and requires candidates to be within 2 hours of the Central European Timezone.

Requirements

  • Have availability to travel to our Cairo office as needed (e.g. onboarding, training, meetings)
  • Have no second jobs – this is a full-time role that requires focus and commitment
  • Be available to work Monday to Friday, between 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM CET
  • Have a suitable home office setup with a desk and two-monitor capability
  • Have excellent English – both written and spoken

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process all payroll-related administrative data across the full cycle
  • Collate and submit monthly inputs to our payroll partners
  • Validate payroll outputs to ensure accuracy before release
  • Manage all post-payroll tasks such as invoice processing, reporting, and client billing support
  • Process partner invoices and enter them accurately in our systems
  • Use payroll data to assist in compiling WorkMotion client invoices
  • Resolve queries with vendors and manage internal questions related to payroll invoicing
  • Ensure all tasks are delivered on time and to a high standard
  • Monitor KPIs and SLAs, investigate non-compliance, and drive improvements
  • Complete monthly service measure data
  • Support ad hoc requests and team initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Be a quick learner who wants to understand the “why,” not just the “how”
  • Be confident with spreadsheets and formulas, and comfortable working with systems and data
  • Be a problem-solver who takes initiative and doesn’t wait to be told what to fix
  • Be thorough and accurate, with a high personal standard for quality
  • Be organised and reliable—meet deadlines without being chased
  • Be a clear communicator, confident managing both vendor and internal queries
  • Be independent and flexible, able to adapt to change and maintain standards under pressure
  • Add value and improve processes, not just complete tasks
  • Look for growth and development, not just a place to coast

Benefits

  • Work from anywhere, anytime
  • A dedicated Well-Being Day—a full day off to rest and recharge
  • Subsidized gym memberships
  • Training & Development Allowance
  • Exciting annual team meetups
