Summary
Join Cortica's growing Finance team as a Payroll Specialist! This key role offers an exciting opportunity in a rapidly expanding healthcare company. You will process full-cycle payroll, resolve payroll issues, verify expense reimbursements, and serve as a primary contact for payroll tax inquiries. This position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years of payroll processing experience, multi-state payroll experience, and UKG knowledge.
Requirements
- Possess a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Bring 3+ years of progressive payroll processing experience
- Have experience with multi-state payroll and familiarity with new-state registration set-up and compliance
- Have solid working knowledge of UKG (implementation experience a plus!) and the aptitude to learn new systems
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Process full-cycle payroll for assigned entities on a bi-weekly basis for an expanding workforce
- Research and resolve payroll related questions and issues; explain payroll policies and procedures and provide outstanding customer service
- Verify and process employee expense reimbursements
- Serves as a primary point of contact for internal and external payroll tax related inquires and audits
- Continuously drive improvements, automation, communication, and education to improve employee experience
- Assist with the implementation of new payroll systems or updating existing systems to meet business needs
- Upgrade process and procedures as company scales to integrate with latest technology
