Payroll Specialist Tier 3

Requirements

• Minimum 4-6 years of related experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of Payroll Processing experience
• Computer Skills; Microsoft Office product, especially Excel
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) and/or PEO experience
• High School Diploma
• Lifting 10 lbs. and/or standing for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Process and deliver customer payrolls, garnishments, employee maintenance, timesheet consolidation in a timely and accurate manner
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and provide services according to the Bureau Service Definition and Service Level Agreements
• Address high level payroll issues, including intricate compliance matters and advanced system errors
• Oversee payroll systems and software, including configurations, upgrades, and integrations with other HR systems
• Monitor compliance with complex local, state and federal regulations
• Identify issues and conduct in-depth investigation to provide insight for resolution and present findings to management
• Participate in client’s payroll audits and conduct internal audits, and establish controls to prevent and detect errors or fraud
• Assist management with the development and implementation of payroll policies, procedures, and improvements
• Act as an Onboarding Buddy for junior to mid-level Payroll Specialists.  Act as a mentor in showing best practices, observing payroll runs, and client responses
