Summary
Join OpenZeppelin's People Operations team as a People Analyst and play a key part in ensuring smooth and accurate international payroll for 130+ global teammates. This entry-level role involves assisting with payroll processing, maintaining employee records, collaborating with external partners, responding to team inquiries, supporting onboarding/offboarding, and participating in HR policy development. You will ensure data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with international labor laws. The role offers opportunities to support additional People team projects based on interests and team priorities. This is a fully remote role open globally (outside the U.S.), with preference for UTC-4 to UTC+4 time zones.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Internship or prior experience in a payroll or HR support role
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data analysis tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English (our working language)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for our team across various countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations
- Maintain and update payroll and employee records in our HRIS, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and timely resolution of any discrepancies
- Collaborate with external partners, including PEOs and EORs, to manage various employment arrangements
- Respond to team members inquiries related to payroll, providing clear and supportive communication
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth experience for team members
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Assist in administering employee benefits and ensuring compliance with international labor laws
- You'll also have the opportunity to support additional People team projects as they come up, depending on your interests and team priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems (Deel and/or Rippling is a plus)
- Familiarity with various employment types, including PEO, EOR, and contractor arrangements
- Passion about the blockchain space and decentralization
