Summary
Join bswift as a People Generalist and collaborate with the People team to deliver comprehensive HR services. You will be the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, managing onboarding, offboarding, team member relations, performance management, and benefits administration. Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources
- Minimum of 2 years managing leave of absence practices and related legal compliance
- Minimum of 2 years managing employee relations, including involuntary terminations and navigating difficult conversations
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations
- Proven experience in benefits administration
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Assist with the onboarding process to ensure smooth transitions for new team members
- Ensure data from the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is accurately updated in the HRIS
- Track and coordinate the exit process for team members, partnering with leaders and relevant departments (IT, People Team, etc.)
- Prepare exit paperwork, coordinate exit surveys and interviews, and collect feedback
- Maintain accurate records of offboarding activities to support tracking and reporting
- Manage day-to-day People Operations and lead communication through People channels and inboxes
- Serve as the point of contact for team member inquiries and concerns, resolving issues and escalating to People Business Partners as needed
- Partner with People Business Partners to support business operations
- Build strong relationships across the organization to foster collaboration and engagement
- Support team member engagement initiatives and promote a positive workplace culture
- Conduct and summarize pulse checks and focus groups
- Assist with the administration of performance review and goal-setting processes
- Track performance management activities and support the implementation of performance improvement plans and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws
- Maintain accurate and secure team member records
- Handle audits, file requests, and generate ad hoc reports
- Develop and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the People Team
- Provide guidance and assistance to team members with benefits inquiries, including health insurance, retirement, and leave policies
- Support team members and leaders throughout the full lifecycle of leave requests, from initiation to return to work
- Serve as a liaison with third-party leave management vendors and internal stakeholders
- Partner with the direct bill team to ensure correct premium deductions during leaves of absence
- Perform monthly invoice reconciliation and submission processes to align benefit elections with carrier invoices and payroll deductions
- Collaborate with the Benefits Manager to ensure successful execution of Annual Enrollment and Wellness programs
- Partner with COBRA administration teams to manage direct billing for eligible team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with bswift is a plus
- HR or Benefits certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
