Summary
Join poolside's People team as a People Operations Generalist and play an integral role in innovating and creating new solutions to support the team's growth. Your mission is to streamline people operations, ensuring a smooth experience for all employees. You will own operational aspects for new joiners and the wider team, including processes, tooling, and benefits management. You will collaborate with the Finance team, manage the People tech stack, and build vendor relationships. This role requires deep knowledge of payroll, benefits, HR compliance, and HRIS, along with experience introducing new tools and processes. Requirements
- Demonstrate experience as a generalist in HR and/or People Ops with deep knowledge of payroll, benefits (health insurance, 401ks, etc.), HR compliance, HRIS, and self-service automation, and other HR processes
- Be an expert at maintaining a high level of confidentiality & discretion due to the nature of having access to sensitive employee and company information
- Have a strong urge to automate everything that can be to avoid human error
Responsibilities
- Oversee cross-team operations to ensure payroll, benefits, compliance, and compensation planning, and ad hoc reporting are performed and managed accurately
- Collaborate with our Finance team to make sure people changes are reflected accurately and payroll is managed on time and accurately
- Oversee and manage the People tech stack, and manage and build vendor relationships, researching the right tools, advocating for company needs, and syncing systems to work better together
- Proactively establish, create, and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures aligned with best practices across all relevant areas
- Build out new processes to create operational efficiency and operational excellence both on the People team and cross functionally
- Answer and coordinate incoming People-questions and provide advice on and ensure compliance of people policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience with US payroll
- Have experience introducing new tools, tech, processes and workflows to the People Ops function and be savvy with reporting and analytics
